Hi, I tried looking up the answer to this question in the archives without much luck... Also tried asking in audio visual section and no rpelies... so I will ask here...

There is a guy locally selling an OEM nav/DVD unit from his 2005 H2 for a very reasonable price. I have an 08 Base H3 with the upgraded stereo and sub woofer. Will his unit easily fit, plug, and play into my existing frame work and harness or will it require some modifications?

If there's too much involved, I'm going to pass as I have a lot of other projects I want to do on my H3. I just thought for the price it would be worth investigating...

That is a good question.
You'd think that there would be a similarity in the two head units, but knowing GM,
I can't be sure.
Below is the actual connectors used for the H3 navigation head unit in my 07 H3
The H2 unit would have to be the same size on the face (L & H) in order to fit the opening in
the H3 brushed panel. I hope you didn't plan on cutting that part ?

I can tell you that the plug from a monsoon head unit to the Nav unit in an H3 is not a plug and play. the plugs are different from each other
