That's the best way I can describe it.

If you put the "temp ****" on full cold or just 1 click past that it will blow cold.

Anything past the 2nd click is full heat.

do some searching. theres a calibration procedure posted,one guy said it didnt work for him. its out of the svc manual.

 

Mine does the same thing. Recalibration didn't help. Read on the forum that the problem is due to one of three modules located to the right of the accelerator and up behind the radio console. They are easy to see but hard to get to. I'm told the module costs about $40. Now I have to figure out how to get the panel off thats below the sterring shaft.

 

this may sound dumb, is the light on for ac? push the **** in a few times. does it go on off?.
im just thinkin

 

If you haven't done the "touch battery cables together" try that too

 

My wifes did that until we started using the heat setting...now it works as it should. The GM clowns said the actuator was probably stuck from "non use". The part online is around 40, but you can switch the boxes around under the dash...there is a post for that on here, use the search.....
