Default A/C acting up

I know most of you on the 'Big Rock' appreciate having the A/C on hot side of the dial... just wondering if any of you are experiencing this.

For some reason when I try to adjust the temperature on the a/c from cool to hot (like clicking it over 1 notch to the right), the temperature doesn't gradually increase. As soon as I click it over it gets very hot as if the dial is all the way over to hot. There's no way of getting a medium temperature. yeah, yeah I know...what a wimp=)

Although we get great weather here most of the time, it does get a little nippy=)

It'll be winter here in Florida in a couple months, I'll let you know if it gets cold enough to run the heater. Normal operation is usually wide open cold here but I know what you are saying. In the early morning during the summer I have to turn it up one click because it fogs up my windows too bad. I have not noticed it as being hot like you suggest but it works as it should. It's nice to have an A/C that will keep up with FLA's heat and humidity.

I had the same problem w/my AC unit not staying cold on the "cold side". I actually tookmy car ('06 H3) for AC repair about 4 times in the last year. They replaced the circuit board & some other parts & still a no go. Don't know what to tell you. I ended up trading my car in for an '08 H3x bc I had several other minor problems that amounted to my car qualifying as a lemon. I hope they can fix that for you. Best of luck!

I guess my situation is a little better than yours was, can't imagine not having the A/C cold, that would really suck[:'(]
But you ended up with an X, so I guess no complaints there.

Thanks for the luck, hopefully I won't need it, although I wouldn't mind trading up to an Alpha

Welcome. My situation was actually the exact same as yours (aswas my car...'06 white H3 lux). No gradual increase. Once you moved it one notch over, it turned hot. Hopefully that is your only issue w/your H3. If not, try giving GM a call. Once they looked up my service records, they granted me 24/36 extended warranty to make up for the problems. Supposidly they got a lot of the minor glitches (i.e. AC) in the '06-'07 models out on the '08. If the price is right,Alphawould be an awesome upgrade!
