I'm new to this forum having just this week purchased an '06 H3. I've done some unsuccessful searching in this forum for the answer to this question & hope you'll be merciful to this old man.

I've gotten a hitch & have yet to install it. No anticipated problems there. I understand where to locate the wiring for the 4 flat plug. Two to three times a year I use my car carrier which has brakes on the second axle. Hence my need to install a brake controller. The one I've purchased, instructions say that "most" newer vehicles have a plug under the dash that will plug into the brake control module.

Does anyone have experience with this? Is there a plug & if so, where should I look?

If this has been previously covered (as I'm sure it has) any help on finding a link to the answers would be very appreciated.

 

i hear you can download a svc manual free,search or someone may help if they know.
you need a wiring diagram.
some wires under dash near your left knee!,,on fire wall.

 

Mine were wadded up over the transmission hump. Thought I would never find them!
