So a few months ago the ABS/ brake/traction control lights came on 2003 H2 100,000. It's my wife's truck so after her complaining I threw a few bucks at it and replaced the front hubs thinking that would cure it. Traction control light went out but not the ABS/brake light. Here's the weird thing, every time I start it with my foot on the brake it dies immediately. Foot off the brake, stays running. I'd prefer not taking it in and being charged an arm and a leg to have them scan it, I have a cheap scan tool but it obviously doesn't work on brake system codes. Thanks in advance for your help!!

 

Have you tried disconnecting the battery cables and tying them together. Leave them sit for 1/2 hr or so. This should drain all the capacitors holding on to memory. It's free and works sometimes.
