Hey all,
I am a newbie who bought my wife an 06 H3. When we turn the ignition off a blue light flashes behind the rear view mirror. I looked in the owners manual and through this forum and I don't see any mention of it. Could it be some sort of aftermarket security? Or is this part of OEM equipment? I have only the factory key fob. I bought it from a local used car dealer and he didn't know what it was either. It is mounted behind the mirror right off the bottom of the headliner in black plastic glued to the windshield. The light will constantly flash until the you start up the hummer. Any ideas?

Sounds aftermarket to me.

 

I have a 06 H3 and haven't seen anything like that. No mention of aftermarket security installation in any of the manuals or service records? Try a search online for security systems for the H3 and see if any match yours.

 

Hi i think its probably the aftermarket security installation! I got my H3 from germany and i have excalibur security system which has a blue led on the dash

Some remote start systems have an antenna on the windshield with a blue led.
