Default Best way to cover the vent under the spare?

I don't care to much for the look with the spare on the back door and I think it looks a lot better without it, on my old H3 I just put a piece of wrapping vinyl to cover it but I feel now that I got the Alpha there has to be a more professional way to cover it.

Saw pictures on a camo hummer H3 on the forums who just put a baking pan on there, what other solutions do you guys have that look somewhat factory?

Any way that you decide to cover the vent make sure that there is still a vent in the piece you cover it with. EX: baking pan, cut out holes in the bottom for the cabin to vent (equalize air pressure between the cabin and the outside). Your HVAC (A/C and Heating) system will need that to properly heat and cool the cabin.

I have a question for you. What are you going to do with the spare? Inside, on the roof, no spare????

I think the best way to cover the vent is with a spare tire.
H3's look weird without a spare back there.

Re-read Bunger's post a little slower.......he said it looks weird WITHOUT a spare.

This ^

Not mention the cabin pressure when closing doors, especially that big rear cargo door (ouch!). Also, IIRC you posted pictures of a shaved rear door on an H3 you saw at the dealer and how it was in there almost weekly with HVAC issues.

I honestly think with the way the H3 bumper is designed, it looks very weird with out a spare tire mounted there but that's just my 2 cents.

I like the look without the spare, another reason is that it is my wifes car and we live up on a hill so the rear door is heavy for her either to close or open depending on how the hummer is parked.

Darn door is heavy, had it slam into a couple walls while reversed down a hill LOL! But I agree that H3 looks better with tire on.
