Sylvania Silverstar Ultra H13 (model #9008) for the headlights.

Best bang for the buck is swapping out the fog bulbs to Sylvania Silverstar Ultra 9005 (model 9005 SU/2). They are plug and play with the OEM 9140s. Way brighter so you will need to adjust the aim on both sides so you do not blind oncoming traffic.

Both of these are Bright WHITE not blue or yellow. I hate blue light.

I have xenon bulbs for headlamps and fogs, 8000Ks. They are bright white with a blue hue (not blue like 9000K+). They sell them all over ebay and the web in whatever spectrum you are into like 5000K pure white. I have had mine for years, but the high beam burned out on one of them, so I am going with the 7500K to replace those.... when it warms up a tad further.

Blue is a strange light thing, it has been shown that some people do get headaches from viewing certain blue spectrum. That stuff is all way beyond me and this thread, but the 7500Ks should be more super white and only a hint of blue hue.

The Sylvanias are better quality, but I can replace my ebay xenons twice almost 3xs before I get to the cost of a set of Silverstar Ultras.

I just got my Hummer H3 and was not impressed with the previous owners blue lights. I pulled them and went with the Sylvania H13 ZXE bulbs and 9145 fog lamps. I really like them.Super bright white light. Think I payed like 80 bucks for all 4. I have dealt with HID in the past on my Mustang GT,Magnum RT, and my Suzuki M109R motorcycle. Never was happy with them. So they all have Sylvania Silver Stars but will upgrade them all to Sylvania ZXE over the next month when I get through throwing money at H3.

i have HID's in my other vehicles with 6k HID bulbs and the slight blue hue is perfect... I think 5k would be better but the 4300k and below are just to yellow looking... 8000k and 10000k are really blue and not for me....

is there a 5 or 6k replacement?

I love to but my H3 already has some chrome additions on it. I am pretty happy with the sound on the stock Nav system and amp. Went to Radio Shack earlier for some wire and 1/8 inch jack. Going to tap the XM wires so I can have an input for MP3. Going to fab up a light bar over the weekend if I have time. I'll make a how to if it hasn't been done yet.
