Battery Issues!
Hi Fellas,
I just picked up my military 1992 M998 Humvee from a military auction last week and I'm already having some issues. The car turned over and started ran up right away for the first few days. I only drove it about 10 miles around town. Day 5, the car won't start. I had the battery jumped by AAA and it was fine. In order to charge the batteries up I drove the car around for about 40 minutes. As soon as I shut the car off the car would not restart. The car had no indications of battery issues before all this started.
1) Do you believe the issue is the Batteries or the Alternator?
The car also had no weird sounds but just before I shut the car off it was making a loud squeak like a belt would make. The sound was only when accelerating. Any idea what the issue is?
Thanks for your help guys I really appreciate it.

can you check the tensionor on the belt and see if you have the correction tension? There is a mark that should be between to other marks to show if the tension is correct.
If you don't then it won't change as good as it should. If you run the motor and see that you are getting 14v then it shouldn't be the alt.
