Bad front drive shaft?
Should my front drive shaft be able to spin by hand with all 4 tires on the ground and in park?
I just replaced my transfer case but I am still having an issue. The front drive shaft does not spin in drive. The part on the transfer case does spin. It looks like Mt boot is completely gone on the yoke. Do I just need to replace the drive shaft? Or is it a larger issue?

In park or not the front drive shaft should not spin with your front wheels on the ground.
The front drive shaft has a U-joint at the differential, and a CV joint at the transfer case end. Sounds like your CV joint is bad. You can buy and change just the CV joint. Not a bad job.

We actually ended up having to buy a whole front drive shaft. When we took it out, the cv joint fell off on its own. It was so bad it completely wore down all the teeth marks on the drive shaft. I'd definitely say that was our problem. But we did have something under the wheels. We noticed the easy movement when we did the transfer case.
