Axle Vent Tube?

Are our axle vent tubes high enough. I crawled around under the truck and I see the rear axle tube, and I think I can feel the trans tube. What about the front? I saw on one of the FJ forums that they are modding theirs and raising them. Do we have to do that? I don't think I will ever be in water over 24 inches, but it would be good to know just in case!

your rear diff vent tube is about 24 inches up from the ground. I extended mine all the way up the fuel filler neck. It probably doesnt make much of a difference but I figured better safe than sorry. the front diff vent goes up next to the radiator.

did you have to do anything special to re-rout it? I can't see the end of the hose because i go's above that plate in the back. Does it have a fitting on the end or is it just open? I'm assuming that the front is just too difficult to get to and re-rout. What about the transmission? Does anyone know where that hose leads too?

from what I've read it is pretty much electrical items that is the main limiting factor. The intake is high enough as well as the alternator. I would think that we would have a deeper fording depth especially since Rubicons and FJ's can go just as deep if not deeper than we can. Thats why I was asking about the vent tubes because this seems to be the weakest link in other offroad vehicles annd I don't want the headache of getting water in the diffs or tranny if I go to max depth

What is the limiting factor of the H3 in regards to it's ability to travel through deep water?
