I remember that there was a thread on that subject but I can't find it

When my lights are in AUTO they are always on.
Is there a way to have them really in AUTO mode?
I mean on and off automatically.

 

When they are on auto they are not on until it gets dark then they come on. you can tel they are on because your parking light and dash light will also come on. They also go off when you shut you truck off thus you do not have to touch the light switch at all. The lights you see when you put it in gear in the day time is you DRL's(Daytime Running Light) You parking light and dash light do not come on with DRL's. hope this helps.

 

in the auto mode its the daylamps running
in auto mode on mine the daylamps are on but not the roof marker lights
and i think that the taillights are not on in the daytime also

 

Make sure your foglight button is turned ON. When you start the truck in the daylight and the lights come on, check to see if the fogs are on also. If the fogs are off then your headlight DRL's are on and it is normal. If your fogs are on then that means your light sensor has malfunctioned and turned on your headlights...not drl's.
