I've been using it for a few months here at work. It is much slower then XP when installed on the same system, and uses much of your system resources. There has also been major security bugs found even though it's supposed to be safe.
all the better for billy bob gates et. al. to survey what pornwe surf, find pirated video games, tell your boss what you do at work all day, and ultimately get you to vote that they aren't a monopoly shouldwe oneday become senator
Had to read that a couple times till I understood what you where getting at...
I hate mornings -.-

We sell it through our retail side, and have had talked to people on our support lines that use it. Overall response of those who have been using it has good. Some people here have installed it on their home machines (home premium & ultimate edition), and I have used it since the beta 1 came out. But we are not ruching out to upgrade our offices, butwill be installing it ons some shortly. It's nice, but nothing to write home about for most people.. An OS is really just an enabler anyways, and too much attentin is being focused on making it do too much out of the box IMO. Still, it was a big improvement from my media centre edition and does look sweet when it's all running. Bugs and holes will (and have) been found, but overall a decent product, but a lot too late, and missing the features that would have really made it more competitive (WINFS, sound hardware acceleration support, IPX support, Inter-PC syncronization, Monad)

Yeah but that's all it is, a big media center upgrade. They could have done most of that in a Windows Media Player 12 upgrade, but decided hey, lets charge people 200 or 300 to make it easier to download pictures. I personally think it's a joke. Yes, it's better, but how much better to justify the cost? The steal everything in their products, and using Vista is like using most GUI's in Linux. I'm just tired of MS trying to market collections of patches and mini-applications they steal from every other OS that is free and sell it to people.
