Anyone Using Vista Yet?
I just purchased a new laptop with Vista on it. This operating system is very cool. I did not think I would lke it, but I'm hooked now.
I know there are still alot of programs that need a patch to work, but that should be fixed in a few months.
Anyone have it? Like it? Got any tips? Tricks?

I've been using it for a few months here at work. It is much slower then XP when installed on the same system, and uses much of your system resources. There has also been major security bugs found even though it's supposed to be safe. I get it for free and still won't use it for a long time until they get these slowness issues resolved. If you were to have XP on that laptop it would probably work twice as fast. Then again, we have the Enterprise edition here at work which isthe highest one you can get (you can't buy it in the stores I don't think) so that might be why it's so slow.
If it works for you that's great! I'm glad you like it! Let us know if you have any crashing problems. I doubt you will though.

Nope. We have Enterprise. It says "Windows Vista Enterprise" when you boot it up. It's only available for registered corporate users. The versions you are talking about are below Enterprise.
Enterprise = Pro, we have the same thing here LOL
There are a few very minor differences though, I should add that. I believe enterprise supports hardware encryption .. I work for a DoD contractor with TS status, we still don't use it ...
