Anyone Have Experience with the General AT tires?
I've been looking at a lot of the all terrain tires, and based on reviews, I've come down to the General Grabber AT's and the BFG AT's. Not sure yet if I'll get the 285 or 315. But the Generals in either size are about $40 less than the BFG. Why is this? I'm inclined to go with the General because it is cheaper, but am also afraid to go with the General because it is cheaper.
I noticed the BFG's have a 3 ply polyester sidewall, while the General's only have a 2 ply. How much of a difference does this make?
The BFG's also say they have a rim protector, but just by appearance I can't see a difference.
I know the BFG's are the most popular, but if there's not much of a difference and it's only paying for the brand name, I'd rather save a couple hundred dollars.

I don't doubt they make great tires, I'm just curious about their all terrain tire compared to BF Goodrich's all terrain.

I'll need the all terrain mainly for on-road driving, with a once or twice a week short trip off road locally where I'm mostly on dry dirt with a little bit of mud and creek crossings. Every other year might see an inch or two of snow(so definitely not looking for snow traction). And will make an hour and a half interstate drive twice a month.
Based off of my driving habits, would anyone make a recommendation?

after seeing countless trucks/suv's around town with the BFG's, I finally saw a Wrangler with the Generals
