Ok just got back from my local hummer dealer, they said that the h3 base model does have a rear lock diff and that the only difference between the adventure and base is trim, etc. I thought the adventure had a few upgrades in suspension that the base doesnt have? But he said it may not be eaton but its def from factory. But anyways if I were to purchase the Eaton locker they said the cost would be around 440.00 for 4 hours of labor, so I said to play it safe 400-600 bucks if there was a major problem.

An unrelated forum writ up on an Eaton Locker rebuild and good info on how to avoid destroying one. I found it interesting and pretty accurate. http://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum/...d.php?t=109143
