I have an 06 that I got in November of 2005, however, I only have about 22K on it so far so could not say. No problems with the engine but I did have a large amount of problems with the car in the begining.

66,605 miles and no problems. I bought it used however, I didnt put all those miles...but I recieved a fairly full packet of maintenance records that the dealer aquired when it was traded in, nothing to do with the head issues.

We have well over 55+ on our 06. No issues other than bad battery post terminal messing with the door locks. I could be wrong, but I think this issue has been narrowed down to a specific line of Vin numbers. If I am not mistaken, Doc Olds knows a bit more about this issue, maybe he can give you better advise.

I bought a used 06' with 36k on it in November 08 and put about 5k on it since. I myself have done 2 oil changes and put on front and rear brake pads. I never had any problem but I fear the head will go bad. I just hope it happens in the next few months while it's still under warranty. Other than brakes and oil which don't count as trouble I love the truck!

Hello all,
mine has 106k miles on the odometer and is still fine. It's full in the vin-range where the head-issue could occur.
But i think mine has no head-issue and no other problems, only a broken oil seal at the rear axle and a dead tpms-sensor.

Greets,

Jens

I have an 06 Adventure that I purchased new in September 05 and it has about 48k miles on it now. I had the head issue at about 36K miles and had my rear axle replaced (12K miles) due to a rear lapping compound issue. I've had my radio replaced and both roof rails replaced due to cracking. I do have a creek/rattle somewhere when it gets cold. Still have the stock tires, haven't had to replace brake pads and do all the service and maintenance myself. All the problems that I've had were taken care of by the dealer under warranty and the service department has been great and always put me in a nice loaner. Even after almost 4 years of ownership, I still enjoy driving the H3; although, I used to be the only one in my area with an H3 and now they are everywhere.
