I was going on that information too. They are NOT the same valving. Very soft and wallow a lot, basically little to no low speed dampening. High speed damping is ok. Back to back trails and road driving compared to GOOD stock shocks show they are under-damped. Stay away from them.

Others hate them as being too stiff.
"Ride" is very subjective, Some want a carlike softer ride, some want a stiff truck ride. I'm the latter.

As bunger said, shocks are very subjective.
I had the Bilsteins and hated the ride for 15,000 miles then one blew a seal and Bilstein would not do anything for me. Went back to the OEM Adventure/OffRoad package shocks and the HUNNER 1/2" nut trick and never looked back. Has the great OEM HUMMER ride both on and OffRoad.
After 40k on the current OEM shocks (an 37s) I am trying out the Procomp ES9000 for lifted (0-2") H3/H3Ts. Just installed them over the weekend and they have a very similar ride to the OEMs. Have a wheeling trip this weekend to test them out OffRoad.
