Well, without any luck usingthe search function, I am forced to make a post asking. As many of you know i have a early 2006 H3. One that uses the DRL and the front turn signals in the same bulb. I have purchased the clear front turn signals from ebay. Now, by federal law, all turn signals are supposed to be amber. Is there a light that will flash amber when i am using the turn signals. Or is there a way to disable the DRL's so that with an amber bulb they would only come on when i use the turn signals.?[&:]

 

They are sometimes called stealth bulbs. I have the Sylvania SilverStars, # 3157. Silver when off, amber when lit.

I'm hoping that the nearest Autozone will have these. Do you remeber about how much they ran?

 

I pulled out the fuse for the DRL's, but the 07/08's use the headlights so I'm not sure if it would be the same one. #39 I think. Check your panel. Everything still works normal, just no DRL's. Help's with the blacked (murdered) out look.

I don't recall what I paid for them. I see them from $10-$20 for a pair.

 

Great news. I got the lights in with the new bulbs this morning. I purchased the Sylvania Silerstar part # 3157A (got them for $10 and some change at Advance Auto Parts) and they work perfect. I also took rhill20's info and removed the DRL fuse ( it was # 39 btw) and problem solved. Thanks again for everyones help and info. I will post some pics later on.

FYI, late 06's also used headlights.
