Howdy.

I'm thinking of modifying my H3 to have a softer ride, and am wondering if anybody out there has ever gone so far as to replace the stock leaf springs. If so, where did you get your new springs? One of the ideas I had was to get springs from a Colorado, which is a lighter vehicle --- but I have no way of knowing whether the Colorado leaf springs have a softer rate, or if they will even fit on the H3.

Any thoughts?

 

if you want a softer ride than the h3 then I think you bought he wrong vehicle. Stock the h3's ride is the best in its class, any softer and it will turn into rav4.

Sorry but your solution will not work.

Although there may be room with the back seats down, the H3 brochure specifically notes that

Cargo and load capacity are limited by weight and distribution.
