Coral HUMMER here in Pompano Beach, FL.
As soon as I started describing the vibration, they knew to order the shaft... They said is was a known problem 06-07, but mine was the first 08 that they've seen it,(I think mine was probably one of the first 08s built)

JP
What type of vibration did you have? I have one in my gas pedal especially at highway speeds......

yup, they "Road-Force" balanced the tires and replaced the intermediate shaft, due to "Cust states a vibration felt in steering wheel and pedals at highway speeds"

yup, all's better...
I feel a little slop in the wheel, but I think that's mainly due to getting back in the 4X4 after driving an 08 Cadillac CTS for 3 days...

UPDATE:

ONE MORE TIME AND I'M GONNA LEMON-LAW IT !!!

sooo,
I couldn't get over the slop I was feeling in the steering, so I took it back wednesday. they were going to align it and check out the front end.

The slop I was feeling after the last shaft repair was caused by A BAD INTERMEDIATE SHAFT !!!

The tech said "The updated shaft wasn't really updated, it's the same problem..."
I said "Well, you better get it right this time or else it looks like GM will be buying me a new truck..."

I should have it back saturday, they gave me a base H3 until then...

Oh wow.....and I thought I was the only one with the returning hummer shaft issue.....
I hope they get it right for you this time......!!!!
Mine's been pretty good now......I just have cheap GM shocks in the front of mine that like to moan and groan when it's cold outside......it's always something isn't it!
