I think in the end it boils down to this:

There are a lot of products designed to aid you and your vehicle off road. Not all of them are for everyone. Each person has to look at their situation and choose what's best for their needs. Once that's done, just make sure that the product you pick, is going to stand up to the condtions the manufacturer claims it will.

 

I agree fireman and I'm not saying that the foam valve is what I would run my truck on all the time, but to get you home if you filter gets drenched I think it will be ok.
