Ok so I traded the old 06 for the new 07.... Now I'm trying to put my K&N airfilter on the new truck... but there is something new... Another hose that leads to a round box... it has a cone with a filer inside the cone. It was inside the stock airbox along with the motor airfilter. Anyone know what this is?

 

Ok so I guess I screwed up and the K&N I have is for an 06 only... not an 07...

 

They did change a vent tube or something like that in 07

"Mass Air Sensor is too big to fit in the hole on the inake tube and of course the mounting bracket won't work either as it's smaller. The sensor on the 3.7 won't even go in the hole on the 06 style intake.

Problem is, K&N doesn't even have a tube for the 3.7L " from hummer driver

 

So to make sure I didn't waste my money lol... I'm just using the K&N filter in my stock box. BUT! I'm going to try to get a direct tube long enough that runs from the stock airbox that holds the filter to the the air intake.

 

Ok here's the pictures of the new filter something or other that I have no idea what it is. If you want more pictures let me know. It leads back to some block on the engine and the cone and filtersit inside of the stock airbox through the front side.
