I think Doc Olds uses his highly sensitive and accurateButtDyno.

 

You can taylor the tune to whatever gas you want to burn. The I5 has more compression than you would think = 10.0:1 My 1970 442 has 10.5:1, so I would say the I5 is pretty darn near "high" compression.

If you want a tune to take advantage of 93, it will get you more power, but not give you the best tune for regular?

 

Well the butt dyno isn't very accurate, but it is what counts, right?

so how much would tune help with 89 octane, iam tired of putting 93..
i have had sportcars since for ever.

 

My PCM tune is set for regular 87. I am happy with it. Stop waiting and guessing, and start enjoying. As soon as I did mine, I started wondering why I waited so long? [&o] With gas prices so much better, maybe an 89 tune is in order.

 

Also IF you are looking for MORE HorsePower for the H3,,,Then You can ALSO ADD a SUPERCHARGER for about 5 to 6 grand and have just as many ponys as the Alpha V-8,,,,Just my two cents

The should have a used a 3.8 sc from the grandprix gtp. You can make power easy with one of those motors..
