Did anyone have to do any programming ,or just plug and go after PCM 4 less tuned a I5 motor?

 

You can't do any programming unless you buy HPTuners

 

Yes i,m aware. PCM 4 less said some some require taking to GM after the change, They didnt elaborate however I installed and ran it yesterday and compared on a long grade and highway speeds . The PCM 4 less ran same speed as the Jet chip. both run exactly the same, They both have great gains , only advantage with PCM4 less is the speedo change for 35,s. and the codes removed for the headers O2 sensor. now to install the cat forward system with high flow cat to see if any more gains are present.its a full 2.5 pipe without the flat areas over the torsion bars and Non restricting cat.

 

good luck with that because that flat spot is in there for a reason.

 

installed the cat forward and fit perfect . If you saw it you will wonder what the hell GM was thinking . the new flowmaster 2.5 has no flat spots and seamless fit and routed slightly different. You do need to pull out the torsion bar to get it in. pretty easy . Drove just a bit before dark and not happy with the PCM 4 less tune , theres a flat spot at 2k and picks up again, so far it ran better with the Jet chip. Will test tomorrow as I didnt even run it long enough to get fully warmed up.

 

Awesome that you found a full exhaust system. I hate the "flat" spot in the exhaust. Im not an expert on physics but just seems like that flat spot would restrict the air flow.

 

its in magnaflows catalog. $348 with high flow cat. Fitment is better than GM. not legal in some states so i had it shipped to WA and then sent to me.
