needless to say, ive gotten a handful of PMs and emails bitching that I am ruining the forum by unbanning members. I dont know the full extent of what has gone on over the past few days, but I am giving the unbanned members the benefit of the doubt, that regardless of who was "right" and "wrong" through all of this, we are all adults, and everyone can conduct themselves in an adult-like manner. those who dont feel that the unbanned group should have been permitted back are mostly saying "they will keep causing problems", so I have to request that for those of you who are now back on the forum, you keep in mind the rules of the forum. it seems that the biggest complaining point by everyone is that people were resorting to name calling...the only person who i KNOW did that was importkiller, as he admitted it...i dont know why those few members are so pissed off at the rest of the banned members?
I will also ask that you mods that are now back on the site avoid confrontation, and if you find that someone is seemingly trying to draw you into a "fight" of sorts, that you step back, and let me know. Also, as you are all friends with the other banned members, i ask that you see to it that they also avoid being drawn in to any further pissing matches.
ultimately, my goal in unbanning you was to reach a resolve of this whole problem, and i am being heavily critisized for my choice, but ive been doing this for over 3 years now, and im aware that in most situations, something like this will cause a site to lose some members and in the end, i come out looking like the *******, but such is life...i can only ask that those mods and members who have been given "a second chance" keep that in mind.

Mike admitted it and we moved on. I know who the other banned member is they are referring to, but what's done is done and it's over. We all learned some lessons here, and hopefully it's not going to happen again. I hope these individuals complaining are willing to accept apologies and give people a second chance. If not, they need to grow up.

I am the one who called the guy a moron....the guy IMO is a troll...he IS NOT a hummer owner and has pissed people off quite often in the past. That IS the definition of a troll...is it not? As far as teh member that pm'd you sayiing we were ganging up on him....I really could care less what LAWWYFE has to say...we all know it's her. Maybe she or others should mind their own business and get the facts before reacting.

BTW....this is not a NEW thing....Denny has been leading up to this point for awhile. As a matter of fact we had a very good member leave a few months ago because he said "He was sick of watching Dennis talk down to people, and when he started taking down to me I had enough and left." That is a word for word quote.

I think we need to give Mark a break. He didn't know what was going on until the very end of it, so he probably still doesn't know all the details. I doubt he read my book posts, hell, who would!

The bottom line is that there are three groups to this whole mess.
1. the group of members who were banned, and their supporters.
2. the group of members who wanted those members banned, and their supporters
3. members who dont pay attention or just dont care who comes or goes.
there is no way to make everyone happy in this situation. the only option that i have is to be diplomatic, and to allow everyone back on the site, and basically judge people as time goes on...maybe i was wrong by unbanning, maybe i wasnt..only time will tell. there were things said on he behalf of both "sides" that seemingly should not have been said, and because of me not knowing what was going on, it was not handled properly, and that is my fault, not dennis'.

again, i dont want everyone blaming dennis for what happened yesterday..it was my fault for being way too vague as how to handle it.

Well you need to see it. I'll see if I can find it. It has to be in that mysterious Recycling Bin somewhere lol.
