Default 6-Disk Player Will Not Load CD's

I bought a 2005H2 with a factory player a month ago. The manual says to push the LOAD button and wait for the indicator light to turn green. The light does not come on at all andit will not accept a CD. Instead the display says, WAIT CD1, for a few seconds and then it says, INITIALIZING. I've waited three minutes and the INITIALIZING message never goes away.

Is the player fubared, or has it possible lost its theft code and that's why it is not working?

If it had a theftlock the radio would not play. Sounds to me like it is Fubar. You should be able to find a good used one. I have one in my garage that I took out when I added the Nav. I do not want to sell it, but I had seen them go pretty cheap on Ebay.

Thanks, calif phil. Lucky for me, I bought the extended warrantythat covers all the electronics. It does have a $100 deductable so I thought I would check here first to see if it was something simple I could fix myself.
