When i return from deployment i know i will have a to do a service soon, i plan on upgrading the alternator from teaka toys and change the belts. Besides that and the oilchange is there anything else i need to do for a 50000 mile service? flush the radiator?

 

It's all in the manual. Oil change based on trip computer, not mileage. Diffs need changed, air cleaner, and belt check are what come to mind, but I don't have the manual in front of me at the moment. Radiator flush not needed at 50K.

 

I would change fluid and filter in trans also.

 

Thanks you guys think its better to change the oil when the computer says so? not every 3000 miles? Also is there a DIY on changing the oil and tranny fluid?

 

changing the tranny fluid I don't think that is done until about 75,000, but I did have to top mine off. As fas as the oil change it is pretty self explanatory, the skid plates actually come off really easy, just remember how they go back on. I have 50K on mine too and I topped off the differential fluid also, good luck
