Any body have a "spare" valve body? The part # is 24237219. Homer is on the lift and GM has the darn thing on back order . Will pay extra......!

I was hoping to find a new one but with no luck, I ordered a reman from RockAuto and it is in the air. Found that GM just doesn't have a back order situation but they have discontinued the part in spite of the ten year rule. Hope this isn't a signal of bleak future for OEM H3 parts! Thanks again.

 

Hey Doc, when I went to RockAuto on Friday, they had listed 24237219 ACDELCO reman and after I attempted to order, got a message back: removed from cart, no longer available. Now it isn't listed. That is when I ordered GM4643 reman by PA CARGO. Never heard of them...tried to google for reviews. Do you know anything about the quality of PA CARGO?

I ordered from those guys. They hit my credit card and then sent me a note stating that the part is no longer available and it could take up to ten days for the credit to appear. What a bummer because I thought I was good to go and delayed ordering the PA CARGO.

 

Why are you replacing the valve body? Not a part that is replaced very often.

 

Wear in bore. Pretty common with at least two production runs in 2008. Understand that all ended up in 2009 ALPHAS/CE's. Something to do with the porosity of the aluminum casting?????

 

The one from rock auto won't work! Doesn't have the cut off corner to clear he pan indent for the front driveshaft. Also, a 2008 ALPHA won't work because of the external manifold. Frustrated .....think we might have found one on the west coast. These things are getting so rare that they are asking for a $175 core charge. GM get in gear and provide the part.......same one for COLORADO/CANYON 4x4.
