Default 4WD High

Have an H3, just had it at the dealer, the 4wd high light will not go off. What the heck am I doing wrong to get it out of 4wd high?

I agree.
The H3 is a full-time four-wheel drive system, that operates in a 40Fx 60R setup. If you push the 4wheel high LOCK button, you lock in a 50x50 which can transfer power and then you have the four wheel low lock, which drops the t/case to a different ratio.

Ok, I did not see that light on (Or at least I do not remember seeing the light on the past few days, just got it Friday). SO the 4wd high should always be on?

yes, the left-most light should always be on. 4 high lock and 4 low lock are for off-roading/slippery conditions.

Unlike a Jeep, this is a full time 4WD vehicle, it is NEVER in 2WD. And really, please do read the manual on this. There's a lot of good info in there regarding the operations of the 4WD switches.

Excuse me tmoody, just picked it up, dealer was closed. **** next time I will wait and call the dealer, instead of asking a question. When I picked it up, dealer did not go through it very well because they were closing. Maybe you heard better to be safe than sorry??
