just got the H3 and love it but the 4 high and low buttons don't work, when I press them nothing happends, no noises no lights nothing. when I start it up they light up but when I press 4 high lock its like theres no connection.

 

This is well documented on this and other sites dealing with h3's.
1 actuator
2 tcm
3 buttons

Just some thoughts.

my first thought is always,go back to to seller and ask them if it did that.
a dealer should check/fix it?

 

any thouhts what to do never happened in the past with the other owners...could the buttons be fried?

 

make sure all connectors are plugged on right.
find another hummer guy to check it side by side.

Have you read the owners manual on proper operation of the controls? If so then try to get into 4lo. That is when you will hear a click.

 

i have a 2007 h3 base just the three 4x4 buttons and traction/stability control..no owners manual but i looked on up an it says to put it in neutral then press the button but i got nothing

 

You must be in 4HI Lock first then neutral 0-5mph and select the 4lo position.

If that does not work then you have a shift fork issue. Search that topic. 100s of posts if it won't go into 4lo once you follow the directions above.

 

I have a somewhat similar issue right now, BUT my normal 60/40 AWD is working but when I try 4 hi lock the button does not blink, nor does 4 hi lock engage. No CEL on or anything. Any thread suggestions or advice on any of our issues? 4 Lo works just fine. 4 hi is the only one not working. No idea. If the transfer case motor is bad would it still make it to 4 Lo just fine? Or another issue? HELP
