I'll take 120 degrees over 0 anyday. I can't wait to get out of this place.

 

Flagstaff would be a cool place to live, but i'm not in my 70's yet nor do i play golf, so Phoenix/Scottsdale are out . . . . .[>:]

It was all over the news this AM about the future quakes. 97% chance of 6.5, 94% chance of 7.0, 91% chance of 7.5....sometime in the next 30 years or so or longer because they have no real way to predict. How do you get to 97% if you can't predict? These guys probably get paid a lot also.
I predict the Clippers will win the NBA Championship. 100% chance they will do it. Don't know when but it will happen. There I am a prognosticator now.

 

Well, I'm not 70 yet but I do like Golf. However, the 119 degrees in July you can keep. Besides, wife would NEVER move back out west. She loves it here with the Snow. Think Flagstaff probably wouldn't be too bad, you still get some "seasons" without the -10 degree winters.

 

There are 3-4 bad months in Phoenix and the rest of the year is pretty good. Lots of people go to Flagstaff, Sedona etc in the summer.

 

it's just typical fear-mongering by the media - let's scare everyone so they watch more of our depressing bull$hit. other than 9/11 i haven't watched a tv news show (real one anyway- love the daily show) in about 10 years. it's not too hard to predict an earthquake in CA over the next 30 years. it would be more impressive if they said WHERE in CA the next big one will hit. i figure we'll have another study in the next year or so to contradict this one.

as for the heat, i hate it - once you're nekked and it's still hot you've got nothing left to take off. at least with the cold you can always add another layer . . . . .[>:]
