Thanks for your inquiry We strongly discourage using truck engines in boats. The big reason is that the pistons and push rods are different in marine engines (along with precups and other misc parts). Our experience with people who convert vehicle engines for marine use is that the engines typically will run really hot and won't give you the horsepower you'll expect in a marine application.

Our problem with this type of conversion is that the boat gets sold and the new owner goes to address the performance issues of the engine. Because our name is stamped on the parts, Peninsular gets a black eye for that boat owner while his boat spends more time in the shop than on the water.
