If you were truly speechless you would quit posting. I have had three Jeeps but not as SRT. I passed on the thoughts of friends with Jeeps. Don't ask questions if you aren't open minded about the answers. You asked what people thought and then acted like a two year old when the answers did not match what you wanted.

Jeep has been moving away from offroading for a while now. Their focus has been turning the Jeep in a family focused SUV for the past few years. This is just more proof of that.

Would I want one, even as a pavement pounder? No.
Chrysler can't build a transmission worth a damn. That's why I sold off a Ram 2500 & Challenger RT; both had transmissions that failed w/o any sort of warranty support (under 15K miles). I'm not bashing Jeep, just Chrysler as a whole. Since Jeep is under that monkier & has been for a while, give me a hell no.

Now they are owned by Fiat. Not looking good, imo.

An interesting comment coming from a guy who resides in America's first and only bankrupt city, and a city that is 95% ghetto-Detroit.

I can post any question or comment I feel like it as long as I obey and adhere by the forum's rules, and you are not my father or my lawyer so take your pathetic drivel advice to some other desperate, uneducated and gullible person.

To the other posters who responded with tact and unbiased opinion ... I thank you very much.

If you want to go fast, buy a Challenger, Mustang, MB AMG, BMW Mx, Audi Sx etc.
If you want to go off road and be confortable, buy a Hummer, Jeep, LR, Toyota, nissan, etc.
If you want to go fast and comfy off road... well... sure the SRT isn't the option, maybe a Cayenne or RR could be

Used to have the SRT Jeep - bought new and sold with 52,000 not-so-easy miles on it, never had a problem with it, awesome truck. Gas mileage was as expected, biggest issue is you can't put proper snow tires on it as they don't make them for staggered 20's, and you can't just buy a set of winter rims as they won't fit over the enormous Brembos. So, not good in snow, but hellacious in the dry. Drove it hard, flogged the **** off it, no tranny issues or otherwise. Cheap to maintain other than brakes and tires.

Don't make a mistake & buy a jeep.
Or for that matter, any other Chrysler pos. I feel the pain & this guy has too.

Seriously I can't understand why you stated this. Nobody posted anything that seems like a hate comment, they're just giving you opinions which is what you asked at the beginning of this thread.

What these guys are telling you is true, why would you buy a 500hp Jeep that goes like a R/T spec Dodge car, handles like a brick and can't go off road? sure it looks badass, but I can't get it's purpose... Nowhere near a GLE, Cayenne, RR, etc.

I recently owned Jeep GC Overland for a year, and seriously what a waste... Beautiful truck, awesome tow capacity, useful in adverse weather, but really unreliable, no real off road worthy, bad handling, and not as comfy and equipped as I would expect from a car this expensive. Thinking on buying a new Rubi though...
