i own a 2008 hummer h3 and i was driving around the past couple days o btw the car has 15200 miles and i got it november 2007, well anyway i was driving it monday and right before the car totally stopped there was a screaching noise in the back brakes and it has been doing it every day since then do i have to replace the rear brake pads? also is it under warrenty so i can get them for free?

 

Should be covered under warranty unless if they tell you its a normal wear issue.

 

yes you are under warr still and there is a bulletin out there for this concern with the rear brakes. the rear rotors need to be resurfaced taking .030 off of the rotors..
