2008 hummer H3 won't crank and start
I agree with a Prophet that it's good idea for your mechanic to try to rotate flywheel with hand. This way it could be determined if your crankshaft bearing is good or not and It could save you, probably, from replacing new engine. it's very unusual that with such relatively low mileage(112,000 km) you have this engine problem.
I stacked the bearings on my crank shaft on a Tahoe once and it was very loud. The clanging noise was so loud that I had 2 15" subs in the back very loud and I heard my motor over them. I knew something was wrong and had to pull over and have it towed. It didn't just die. If it sounds good when you try to start it then it's something different. Check everything easy first like do you hear your fuel pump when you turn your key on for example.
