Default 2008 Hummer H2 Best Performance?

Magna supercharger can put more 120 HP on Hummer H2. Also, Predator (Stage 3) components can increase the power of H2 to 122 HP which include the replacement of Raptorq computer chip, air intake, headers, and exhaust system. Does that mean if you install magna supercharger and predator (stage 3) system, my hummer will get more 242 HP?

I need an expert opinion on this regard. Also, please advice me what is the best dual exhaust system having highest performance and less noise available in the market?

Borla would be the best quiet exhaust.

Well the supercharger can give you 100+ HP without a problem. The raptorq and its package will give you less than that to to wheels. Best case scenario 120 HP to the crank would be quite generous IMHO. No putting both those packages together would not give you 242HP. The Raptorq tune is not meant for the supercharger. Most superchargers come with their own tune (or should) and should be tuned with each additional bolt ons. If you bought the Raptorq you would be throwing your money out if your got the supercharger. Wouldn't work together cause the Raptorq is not programmable....You would be detonating and possibly blowing $hit up.

Oh, PS...I'm not an expert by any means just putting what I experienced and read to hopefully help you make a better decision.

calif phil,

Thank you for your advice. I had the same opinion of yours to go for borla system. I have already made an online purchase for borla dual exhaust system along with borla headers. Can't wait to install them on my hummer.

Tuntakit,

Thank you for your feedback and I fully agree with you. I just wanted to hear a second opinion to confirm my conclusion. I actually emailed Borla guys to give me a recommendation on the best exhaust system to install for 2008 hummer h2 with magna supercharger. They recommended me that it is better to install the twin screw design whipple supercharger instead of the roots type magna system as it is more effienient and has more power at lower boost levels which is much safer. The whipple system for hummer will be on sale by Feb 2010. I will be waiting until then to purchase their system.

I wouldnt jump on a brand new system. Most of the time brand new systems means bugs and problems. Those take time and real world testing to work out.

when the whipple charger is made available dont be affraid to jump on it. i had one on my 2004 mustang cobra and oh my god what an impressive unit and talk about horsepower. keep in mind the cobra was manufactured with a factory supercharger and the bottom end of the motor was built for serious boost. im unsure if the h2 has a forged bottom end so be VERY CAREFULL when you put boost to this motor because if you detinate you will be replacing the motor and possibly your shinny new supercharger. im looking at doing the same thing since the blowers almost double torque and i like towing my atvs thru the beautiful mountains of Colorado when i go there for vacation.

I'm not sure if your aware, but more than half the people who have supercharged their h2's have had serious tranny problems. Many many blown trannys are reported on the h2 forums. Adding an even more powerful supercharger would probably just add more problems.
