You already have a very decent transmission oil cooler from the factory. they are not the very very best but they are better than most of the aftermarket ones available unless you go top end with its own fan..etc.
Make sure you have the overdrive off also when towing, your trans will shift too much and build up excessive heat.

Ok, educate me. How do I turn that OD off??? On the gear shifter there is PARK...REVERSE...DRIVE...MANUAL...1....2 On the dash there is a button for towing which when engaged has the engine always in high RPM... I don't ever use that trailer option.

And so your truck tows in overdrive. Push the button. Your transmission will thank you.
Also change your coolant every two years. The aluminum radiator will rot if you let the antifreeze turn acidic over time.

Yes, ktm640dakar is correct, you must turn you overdrive OFF. that is how. push the tow/haul button. if its not revving high then you are in overdrive then your cooking your tranny for no reason.
Referring to the comment about not changing your trans fluid........there is a rule of thumb in the service industry.....if a customer has a trans slipping or overheating problem with that many miles on the trans..(and he did not or cannot prove that he flushed it regularly) don't flush it. reason is that the new fluid might break up all that gunk in your trans then it will not work properly.
Now it might be on the way out anyways but flushing it will speed up that process. If you have flushed it regularly then go for it.
Remember..whatever the factory recommended flush schedule was, cut it in half if you tow....there is a factory recommended SEVERE DUTY schedule as well that is different from your manual.
