Default 2007 h2 abs problem

I have seen this a million times, but....
Did a brake job (changed pads only) front and back. A couple of weeks later and I start getting ABS light (not constant) any ideas?

You knocked one of the sensors off or it's loose while working on the breaks?

That's what I would check first.

Default Abs issue resolved

Thought you all might like the entire story. What finally happened.
Wife lost all brake pedal.
Just knew I had let air get in lines.
Rebled rear brakes, before I could get the front brakes all 4 forward lines 2 - to mc and front left front right blew out in the same spot.

Replaced lines. At some point in it's prior ownership H2 became possessed by some mean demon.

I had to drop the ABS Brake modulator valve in order to get to the lines.

WHoever replaced the rear lines had used metric fitting on line coming from brake modulator valve to right rear. You guessed it had to buy a new abs modulator valve - bought the entire thing brand new from DAS Autoparts off of ebay $540 and free shipping.

Rebuilt brake lines. Reinstalled - noticed that mc was gone. No big deal Auto Zone actually had one in stock.

Finally done - had to still hire a guy (got lucky) to tow the thing to his shop and reprogram and reset and bleed the brakes. Another $500.

All in all about $2k. Beats the price I was originally quoted.

To top this off I am just now 3 months post dual chamber pacemaker implant and 3rd degree heart failure. I laid under that truck off and on since 3-27-17 (my surgery was 2-27-17).

I hate to say it but I traded this thing in and I would never ever buy another H2. The H3 I loved could fix antyhing that happened with a screw driver and a pair of wire pliers. I hate the H2.

You did the right thing there oldguy. These heart breakers are for young at heart and lots a money to throw at the beast.

I just bought a 2003 h2 this past Christmas and will be selling soon by this September. Ya see, I have broken heart disease also and had the heart ripped out 2007, rewired and thrown back in.

I cannot crawl under the beast to do any work without blowing my stents out. So, for sale it goes come September. I just 911 myself in last night for A-fib and severe cheat pains. I got 7 stents so far and I been avoiding the cardic recall for more stents.

Damn, I just realized were as defective as these H2's and need constant money thrown down to keep going. Imagine that, will you.

Sorry to hear about all the crap you had to go through. I dont quite follow the entire story though? All you did was replace the pads and then got an ABS sensor light. Not your problem, i just don"t understand because I am trying to learn so much about this as I am right around the corner from having to do a complete brake job, differential and transmission work. Then I will be 100%, I hope.

The Demon worries me. You may have to call someone else about that. lol

You guys are making me feel like I am twenty again! If it wasn't for a little nerve damage due to some defoliants somebody thought would be a good idea to use in the 60's, I feel pretty good. I am not going to kid you though. It still a bitch every time i got to scoot under her. I have a socket and wrench on top of the skid plate I dropped that I cant reach to get to it and I just don't want to go through the effort to take it off. It cuts into my drinking time too.

Default to you all

ABS light came on about 2 weeks after pads being replaced.
I had heart attack. Wife kept driving vehicle.
Brake fluid went low.
I thought I let air get in brakes (did the C clamp trick when doing the pads).

She kept driving vehicle (no choice I was screwed up pretty good).
Finally got biventricular pacemaker. Healed up decided it was time to bleed brakes and all hell broke loose.

Now add the last post.

dontheo55 - 1 brother went in 68 - 2 tours marines
1 - brother navy was in the gulf of tonkin

all my uncles served ww2 and korea
dad was a tech 5 on artillery in the bulge

oldest son no idea what he does he cant tell me but he is in army
middle son goes to boot in sept.

unc sam would not let me serve due to hearing

Thank you with a big heart felt from a fellow American.
A friend of mine had an uncle that got the same treatment. He died from skin issues though.

LennyLexx I died twice the night of my stemi 100% occluded for over an hour and lost 40% of my right vetnricle. My doc put in a crt-d. to be honest I am doing great but i do have stagee 3 heart failure, but man I can walk 5 miles and do about whatever I want. H2 was my wifes and I had to get her into something I did not stree over you know?

Asa a parting on the H2 - the mechanic who finished the repair for me told me to never bring it back. ever. I thought he was playing. He was serious.
