Found this H3 from a private seller. I've been scouring over threads for info about what to check/ask about that is specific to Hummer H3.

Have never owned one but like there ability on and off-road, safety, dependability, etc.

Appreciate any suggestions!

Clean, well maintaind 2006 Hummer H3 ~ luxury package w/ all the amenities! Black leather interior, AC, XM radio/ 6 disc CD player. Onstar, back-up camera, heated seats, power everything. Off road package. Side impact airbags, remote keyless entry, tow package, and tires are less than one year old. 111k hwy miles, never taken off road. -$12,500

 

Sounds like a decent vehicle at a decent price. At 111K, I would think any of the major problems associated with an 06 would have shown up or have been corrected by now. A backup camera wasn't a factory option in 06 so that is an add on. I am glad you are doing research on this forum before purchase. Good Luck.

 

Take it to gravel and push the 4x4 lock button and turn the steering full lock and move. You should feel as well as hear the binding. I bet it does not bind. The $17 plastic fork in the transfer case needs swapped out to get the 4x4 to actually lock solid as it should when you hit that button. I just did it last weekend to the 06 I bought 3 weeks ago.

 

I can say from my own personal experience to check the engine missing a cylinders. When I bought my Hummer H3 there were 3 missing. The price and kms are good though! Sounds like a great deal!
