Well she finally laid down. Looking for donor engine. Should I go with the 3.5 or 3.7? My son is a mechanic and will be doing the swap with my assistance. Can someone tell me whats involved with going back with the 3.7? Is there an advantage going with the 3.7 vs the 3.5? Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks

 

The 3.7L may be the better engine, but you will need a PCM from that engine to make things go smooth as possible. 2007 is kind of its own one year thing, a different PCM than 06, but still not TCM. 2008-2010 3.7L add more issues, like their PCM does not control the Trans because they had a TCM as well. It would be as near plug and play as possible if you stay with a 2006 3.5L for the replacement.

I5s are getting hard to find a good replacement motor, so you may have to go with what you find and research the details.
