5 mm LED Holders Pack of 20 items in LED-Switch store on eBay!
This is where I bought all of mine. You'll need 3mm LED's. The 5mm's you posted are a little too big for some of the areas. Also at the most you should only need about 30-40 total LED's. I bought many more because I was playing around with different colors, different lens types, different viewing angles, etc.
Also you'll want the highest viewing angle you can find, typically 160 degree.
The polarity of the LED placement matters so when you desolder and pull off each bulb on the circuit boards you need to touch the LED to the contact pads to see which way it lights.

those sound correct, not sure where all the links went but you do need 12 volt LEDs.
The only 3.4 volt LED's you'll run into is if you end up doing the door controls for the windows and seat heaters. Those are much more involved but doable if you want. Also those circuit boards are very fragile. I had a few contact pads pop right off the board and almost render the board useless.

If you didn't want to do the whole dash you would have to replace your burned out bulbs with oem replacement bulbs. If you replaced just the burned out ones with LED's they wouldn't match. LED's give off a much crisper white light while the stock mini filament bulbs have a yellow to them.
You can find replacement mini bulbs on ebay if that's the route you want to go.
