i have a problem and i think its a common or well known problem.

trying to get the truck started but it doesn't.... i hear a click sound. got the battery replaced but still having hard time to start.. i think its starter issue!!!

instrument panel and lights work fine "why not when it comes with a new battery"

wishing if anyone help me with starter diagram so i can start troubleshooting.

one more request... what starter bran you suggest beside the OEM...

There is a starter relay in the fuse box in the engine compartment, try swapping that out w/ another relay.

I own an 03"
I had a similar starter problem sometime ago.
It was the screw connections on the starter itself were all coroded with rust.
I replaced the starter and literally had to break the screw connections on the starter in order to release the connecton cables.
After replacing the starter, I spray painted the screw connections to avoid corrosion or rust.

good idea on painting the screws
