One of the lights behind my speedo is dead. How hard is it to replace?

Had to go to the dealer for a hub problem. Asked the tech about it. Have to replace the whole spedo - tach pod (about $300). Can't replace a light bulb.

Depending on which cluster type you have...
If you have incandescent lamps, you can replace the bulbs yourself as needed.
If you have LED's, then you have to bring in the whole cluster in for servicing or in your case, replacing.
I guess they stopped servicing these LED type clusters and now they just replace them.
You can remove the cluster yourself and check which type your vehicle has.
This way you can be sure if the serviceman was correct about replacing the cluster.
