Default 2003 Air Compressor use wo shocks

So the 2003 H2 I recently picked up like many had the air suspension but replaced the bags with coils. They gave me the take out bags which actually looked fine but not planning on going back. The question I have is they left the compressor in and it looks in really good share. Fuse was pulled and I haven't put it back in.
What I am wondering is, is it possible to have the compressor "turned on" without the suspension bags so that the onboard air is available to use? I'm thinking that if I put the fuse back in and go live its going to toss all kinds of errors since the sensors are still there but of course not height adjusting is going to happen. Not sure if its possible to uncouple the suspension bits from the simple air system in the back of the truck.

Anyone messed with this before I invest any real effort seeing what's up?

Thanks

It is a bit complicated. The main thing is you would need to somehow trick the level sensors to always be within the standard (and expected) ride height as well as the correct pressure being sensed in the air bags that are not there. If you get past both of those you would also want to disconnect the air ride height control button on the dash, if someone were to press that it would error and shut down the air suspension system until someone with a Tech2 can reset the error. Really a lot of effort and overkill just for a basic inflator.

Now to actually fix the suspension back to the way it was. That is also hard to tell for sure. Prior owner converted it for a reason and that is what you would have to figure out. Mostly likely a leak somewhere and it kept leaking down on them. But it might be a problem with the compressor itself, one of the sensors, or the AS (active suspension computer) module which is on the compressor shelf.

What I figured and agree, probably not worth the hassle. Even less considering I have a PowerTank sitting around here somewhere collecting dust. Figure if I hit dirt I can always pull that out to handle tire pressures.
Thanks again for keeping me honest and from not sinking time over thinking it.
