Default 1996 Hummer Auxiliary fuel tank not working

Hello Guys, I have a 1996 Gaser with 2 fuel tanks. The main tank runs fine but when I swtch to the auxiliary tank the engine shuts off. Also the Fuel gauge does not work on the auxiliary tank (contantly displays the tank as full even when the tank is empty). Any good mechanics close to Santa Monica you guys would recommend? I'm tired of getting rip off at the dealer Martin Cadillac in west LA. everytime I go there I spend over 1K.
Thanks

Call Mike Saberrese at Tustin Hummer in Tustin, CA. He is the best H1 mechanic around and will take good care of you. Come straight down the 405 to Jamboree and head east to the Tustin Auto Center.

I just picked my H1 up from Tustin Hummer today and just wanted to say thanks to all for the recommendation. Mike did a great job on my Hummer and I'm so happy I brought it to Tustin for service.

I have this exact same with my problem w/ my 2005 H1 Wagon, fuel sw kills the engine when switching to aux and gauge doesn't work. I tested the cab switch and it looks good with a meter. Live in North Hollywood and need a good Hummer mechanic but I feel I should be able to fix this one myself. What turned out to be the problem was it the fuel tank selector if so where is it?

They didn't make a 2005 H1.

My Bad I meant 1995 H1.. I believe it was the last year Hummer made the gas engine.
