1) loosing antifreeze about 1/2" every 3 to 4 weeks. added dye and can not find any leaks. Head gasket?
2) Tranny shifting funny. when doing a slow start from a stop the engine rpm will range from 2,800 to 4,000 rpm when shifting to 2nd gear and then go right into 3rd with no rpm change?

 

Oh ya it's a H3x with 32,000 miles

 

check for coolant in the transmission

 

I'd get it figured out before you have major engine or tranny problems and your bill is alot.

 

JGBB04 your right. Check the tranny fluid this am it's pink and foamy. Thanks.. going to the dealer mon. am. The next question is tranny fluid in the engine coolant ok. but anti freeze in the tranny?? how bad is that? Not sure what the dealer is going to do, but could there be a long term problem?

 

no warning!!!
i read here b4 that the heat exchanger in the radiator leaks and mixes the 2 fluids! not very nice for expensive tranny.
gm should cover THAT MISTAKE forever.

i never b4 heard of that happening, but that could be the mysterious cause of a lot of cars in the junkyards

i wouldnt drive it anymore
