buy the cheapest one made for h3 and a dealer will be needed to program it. I paid $25 once, later a diff dealer did it nc.
don't believe the lies and bs some sellers say about doing it yourself, cant do it,need the gm BIG obd2 controller thing.

You can get the fobs cheaply thru ebay, etc. but check with a couple of different GM dealers for programming price.

I got prices from $25 at a chevy dealer to $75 at the former Hummer dealer (now a caddy dealer).

Try the Ebay later

While waiting for the fob I'll go around and check which one offers a cheaper reprogramming.

Most local locksmiths can program them. I bought a spare on ebay for about $15 and paid our local locksmith $10 to program it. Takes less than 10 minutes. I never waste money at the dealer if I don't have to.

Thanks guys! Anyways this dealership are truly a pain in the butt. I am able to get a fob through EBay 2 pieces for $25 took it to the dealer, the guy told me that if I am buying the fob from them plus reprograming will cost me $189 plus tax. So I asked him how much for programing only? He said $85 but if the fob that I bought at EBay somehow didn't work, I still have to pay them $85. Without a word I grabbed my stuff then took off...I was fuming mad but what else can I do?
I got home frustrated and I noticed an unknown car park in my driveway, fortunately it was a friend we haven't seen for aged, who happened to have a son working as auto mechanic at GM...
I told him my problem and he phoned his son and he came the other day with an OBD scanning machine and voila...2 fob that could have cost me a fortune was done for FREE...Thank God. Happy happy!!!
