My wife has an 08 Alpha and I am wondering about some perf upgrades for her. After asking here I did find a CAI for the 5.3 but am wondering about other upgrades. Suggestions, ideas,what to go after and what to stay away from? thanks, J

 

Do you plan to offroad it? Keep it shiny and clean? What is your desired endstate?

 

It is my wife's truck and she uses it for transpo here in CA. Eventually we will move back to MT and live on a ranch 40 miles from town with 10 miles of single lane dirt road so it will get off road use there however NO neither one of us intend on hard corp offroading.

 

Recommend the following, as it should help your mpg and performance:
- Improved Cold Air Intake
- Air Filter (optional, based on your preference)
- Performance Tune Up
- Improved Exhaust

Might want to throw some emergency gear in there too, in case of a break down, first aid kit, etc.

Other good ideas are a brush guard (animal in the road), locking fuel door (protects you from stupid people), wind visors (windows and sun roof), sun shade (protects your dash), better tires (bad weather), blind spot mirrors and a rear-view camera.
