I've gotten several comments on how the bass will hit for a stock radio in my 3. But take into consideration...for a STOCK radio. We're talking some paper woofers, nothing that's going to set off car alarms. Or make your eardrums bleed.

 

I have an H3X (2007) with the nav and monsoon, and it sounds good...

 

I have a stock (non monsoon) unit, and it bumps enough to vibrate the mirrors. It's 6 speakers and sounds better thenany non premium system I've heard. As stated you won't be pulled over by the police for noise pollution. I have 2500 miles on mine and get 17.5-18 mpg on thehighway at 70-75 mphwithan automatic. If you want the best mpg I wouldn't push it much past that speed or it will start to suffer.13.5 mpg in town (all stop and go). Also switching to synthetic oil and adding a K&N air filter is cheap and easy, and will only help mpg.

 

I like the sound of my stock stereo. It doesn't have the base I was use to in my Blazer, but I had an amp and subwoofer in that.
